Christ Candle (Slides) (Billy playing/team ready) Segun
[Slide] [Light Christ Candle] As we gather with a shared focus, a shared core, we take a moment to remember that we our center is God, not politics not political beliefs or agenda, our Hope is not in any human being but in the sacrifices and living son, and our Peace comes from the guidance of the Spirit. Please join me in our responsive prayer.
[Slide] Leader: Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:, where there is hatred, let me sow love;, where there is injury, pardon, where there is doubt, faith;
[Slide] Response: Where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.
[Slide] Leader: God, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.
[Slide] Response: For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
[Slide] All: Amen.

Who You Say I Am 7102401
Verse 1
Who am I that the highest King
Would welcome me
I was lost but He brought me in
Oh His love for me
Oh His love for me
Chorus 1
Who the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
I’m a child of God
Yes I am
Verse 2
Free at last
He has ransomed me
His grace runs deep
While I was a slave to sin
Jesus died for me
Yes He died for me
Chorus 2
In my Father’s house
There’s a place for me
I’m a child of God
Yes I am
Bridge
I am chosen not forsaken
I am who You say I am
You are for me not against me
I am who You say I am
Tag
(Oh) (Yes) I am who You say I am
Passage (Slides) Mark 7:1-23, Lars
Now when the Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus, they noticed that some of his disciples were eating with defiled hands, that is, without washing them.
For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, do not eat unless they wash their hands, thus observing the tradition of the elders, and they do not eat anything from the market unless they wash, and there are also many other traditions that they observe: the washing of cups and pots and bronze kettles and beds.
So the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders but eat with defiled hands?” Jesus said to them, “Isaiah prophesied rightly about you hypocrites, as it is written,
‘This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching human precepts as doctrines’. – You abandon the commandment of God and hold to human tradition.”
“You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition! For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Whoever speaks evil of father or mother must surely die.’
But you say that if anyone tells father or mother, ‘Whatever support you might have had from me is Corban’ (that is, an offering to God then you no longer permit doing anything for a father or mother, thus nullifying the word of God through your tradition that you have handed on. And you do many things like this.”
Then Jesus called the crowd again and said to them, “Listen to me, all of you, and understand: there is nothing outside a person that by going in can defile, but the things that come out are what defile.”
When he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about the parable. He said to them, “Are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile, since it enters not the heart but the stomach and goes out into the sewer?”
Thus Jesus declared all foods clean. And he said, “It is what comes out of a person that defiles. For it is from within, from the human heart, that evil intentions come: sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, wickedness, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, folly. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
Join me in the prayer of Jesus,
Our Father who art in Heaven hallowed be your name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses, while we forgive those who trespass against us.
And, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen

Lord I Need You 5925687
Verse 1
Lord I come I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
And without You I fall apart
You’re the one that guides my heart
Chorus 1
Lord I need You oh I need You
Ev’ry hour I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You
Verse 2
Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Where You are Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Bridge
So teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus You’re my hope and stay
And when I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus You’re my hope and stay
Chorus 2
Lord I need You oh I need You
Ev’ry hour I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You
Impact Prayer (Slide) – Renee
Our Impact Emphasis today is on All Tribes Church in Geary, Ok and their pastor, Wayon Upchego. In addition to pastoring All Tribes Church, Waylon was previously the county police chief, and now is Mayor of Geary which means he is also the CEO of the various Geary utility companies. He is the first native American Mayor in the history of Geary. Waylon began the pastorate at All Tribes in 2017 where, shortly after his arrival, he led the church from being for a specific tribe and instead to welcome all tribes and all peoples whether native or not. Geary is in one of the poorest counties in the United States. They are plagued with poverty and high Fentanyl deaths, and childhood hunger. All Tribes serves meals to all of the city of Geary 2-3 times a week, and, at the dinners, the church always have supplies Fentanyl tests and Naloxone/Narcan for the community. These are usually taken by grandmothers who wish to have them ready if needed for their grandchildren. Waylon, on average performs an overdose funeral once every 1-2 months. The church is currently experiencing an increase in children’s attendance on Sunday morning, largely due to the fact that breakfast is served as part of the Sunday School program – The children are usually taught and led by Waylon’s wife Nikole who is with Geary Public Schools. In addition to their own children, Waylon and Nikola have raised several foster children who are all still active members of the family.
